Ashley DeLeon

Ashley took her first pilates mat class as a 9 year old child. As a ballet dancer in a pre professional program, pilates was part of her curriculum. By 12 years old she was taking private lessons and thus began her love of the method. Ashley suffered a hip fracture as a young teen and physical therapy became a consistent part of her life. At 18, Ashley moved to NYC for college and found Core Pilates NYC. She started her apprenticeship right away and began teaching shortly thereafter. Pilates replaced physical therapy and her love for teaching was born. Ashley taught at Core Pilates NYC as an instructor and teacher trainer for 6 years before venturing out to establish her private practice. In 2009 she opened her boutique studio, Ashley DeLeon Pilates, were she still teaches daily. As a teacher for over 15 years, Ashley has studied with Pilates masters of many lineages and has established long term relationships with select Physical Therapists. She specializes in Pilates for osteoporosis, hip dysfunction and pelvic floor dysfunction in the private setting. Ashley approaches her clients with excitement, empathy and a passion to share the many benefits of the Pilates method.
