How many times have clients asked you can we just stretch today? How do you honor this request but still give them a valid Pilates session. After all, the Pilates method is based on a balance of both stretch and strength and too much of one or the other is NOT a good thing! Stretching is defined as a form of exercise in which a specific muscle or tendon is deliberately flexed or stretched in order to improve the muscle's elasticity and range of motion. In this workshop, we will learn about the 7 different types of stretching. We will also go over all the classical exercises that have stretching inherently built in, how to assist your clients in stretching and how to make a client feel as if they are getting a stretch session when in reality they are just getting a Pilates session!
